about this work
Ernesto Neto expands the practice of sculpture, using elastic fabrics, spices and styrofoam as his main materials, along with the force of gravity as a determining element. Physical interaction is another fundamental aspect of his work. The viewer is invited to actively participate by touching or smelling the sculpture or entering its space. His organic forms are related to the observation of the body, either as a representation of the organism’s internal landscape or through the analogy between the body and architecture.

Neto made this work on the occasion of his own marriage. He and his fiance walked through Nave Nove and emerged a married couple.
